192.168.100.1 is an IP address that routers like Linksys and other network brands use as an access point or gateway. 192.168.100.1 is the default gateway that is used by routers and modems such as D-Link as the default IP address for logging into the admin panel. These IPs can also be used as default IPs by manufacturers 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1
What is 192.168.100.1?
A large number of router manufacturers use the 192.168.100.1 IP address as a default address for their routers. It represents a private 32-bit IPv4 address, class C. This is also the default address for a very large number of home broadband routers and switches.

How to access 192.168.100.1
Due to some network configuration problems, you might be unable to access this address. It contains a web interface that allows control of the router configuration. The first thing to do would be to ping this address. Here’s how to do it.
Press the Start button and click Run. The following window will appear:
Type cmd and press Enter. In the Command prompt type ping 192.168.100.1.
After doing this you should get a reply. If you don’t – follow the next steps:
- Connect to the Access point
- Go to Wireless Connection Status
- Click Properties
- Highlight the Internet protocol (TCP/IP)
- Click Properties again
- Mark the Use the following IP address and then type 192.168.0.1~100. (NOTE: At the last part a random number between 1 and 100 should be selected)
- Press Tab on the keyboard and it will automatically generate the default subnet mask.
- Close the application.
After these steps, try pinging the 192.168.100.1 address again, according to the images above.
